About the Job:
Peak Energy seeks a Government Affairs Intern to support federal and state governments on energy policy, tax, and trade issues. The intern will assist in shaping energy policy to support domestic battery manufacturing, advance American energy security, and build America's first fully domestic battery supply chain.
Responsibilities:
Track and evaluate policies affecting Peak Energy's business and the energy storage industry.
Develop memos, presentations, and other information to support company decision making and strategy.
Identify and review grant and other funding opportunities.
Conduct research on industry trends, supply chain developments, and policy practices.
Qualifications:
Enrollment in or recent graduate from a college, community college, advanced degree, or similar training program.
Demonstrated interest, coursework, or experience in energy policy, renewable energy, batteries, climate change, or trade.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a team environment and among internal and external stakeholders.
Eligible to work in the U.S.
The ideal candidate will be based in Washington, D.C. with 20 hours/week, limited duration. This is an entry level internship opportunity.
