Government Affairs Specialist
About the Role
As a Lobbying Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE), you will play a vital role in shaping the company's legislative policy goals. Reporting to an SCE facility, you will work closely with the Corporate Affairs Organization within the State Public Affairs unit. Your primary focus will be on driving SCE's strategic priorities with the State Legislature and State Agencies, utilizing your exceptional communication skills and talent for building collaborative partnerships.
Responsibilities
Represent SCE to government bodies, including the Governor's Office, State Legislature, and State Agencies, as well as industry coalitions and other policy functions.
Assist in defining advocacy priorities, managing budgets, and tracking project deadlines.
Provide written and oral advocacy to further SCE's strategic priorities with the State Legislature and State Agencies.
Nurture durable and credible partnerships with legislatures, government leaders, national agencies, state and local decision makers, and elected officials.
Monitor and track legislation and public policy issues related to SCE's business interests and lead legal and policy research.
