Job Description
The Legal Services Division provides strategic legal advice and assistance to the agency's executive and the Minister. The division is responsible for the delivery of legal services within and on behalf of the agency.
Government Lawyers undertake core legal functions including providing legal advice, preparing litigation files and advocacy work.
Government Lawyers assist with legal matters associated with:
agency programs
administrative law
evidence law.
Government Lawyers work under the supervision of senior lawyers and may be required to provide on-the-job support to junior lawyer.

Support and mentor staff.
manage a caseload of legal matters.
provision of legal advice.
prepare draft submissions, court documentation and correspondence.
identify and report on legal risk.
develop and maintain key strategic relationships.
represent on behalf of the agency.
ability to clearly communicate.
