Crown Law is seeking an experienced Government Legal Adviser to join our team as a Crown Counsel. In this role, you will work closely with the Solicitor-General and Crown Solicitor to provide expert advice on constitutional law, public law, statutory interpretation and other significant government matters. You will have the opportunity to work on complex and novel legal issues, and to contribute to the development of the law in these areas.
Responsibilities
This position involves preparing submissions and appearing as junior counsel on matters arising under the Constitution and other matters of significance / importance to the State. You will also provide expert advice to Ministers, Director Generals and other senior government executives. To be successful in this role, you must have a strong understanding of constitutional law and public law principles, as well as excellent research and analytical skills.
