Job description
Job Title: Government Liaison

Location: Bangalore

Reports to: Vice President

Position Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

The Government Liaison is responsible for managing relationships between Vidwath Innovative Solutions Private Limited and government entities at various levels. This role involves advocating for the company's interests, ensuring compliance with regulations, and navigating the regulatory environment to support the organization’s strategic goals. The Government Liaison will be a key player in shaping public policy and fostering positive interactions with governmental bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

Government Relations:

Ø Develop and maintain relationships with government officials, agencies, and other relevant stakeholders.

Ø Represent the company in meetings, public hearings, and other governmental forums.

Ø Advocate for policies and regulations that align with the company’s interests and objectives.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ø Monitor and analyze changes in regulations, policies, and legislation that could impact the company.

Ø Ensure that the company’s operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

Ø Assist in the preparation of compliance reports and documentation.

Strategic Communication:

Ø Prepare briefing materials, reports, and presentations for senior management regarding government and regulatory issues.

Ø Develop and execute strategies for effective communication with government entities and stakeholders.

Ø Craft and manage responses to government inquiries and requests for information.

Policy Advocacy:

Ø Identify and advocate for policy changes that benefit the company’s business objectives.

Ø Collaborate with industry groups, trade associations, and lobbying organizations to influence public policy.

Ø Track and report on legislative and regulatory developments relevant to the company.

Project Management:

Ø Coordinate with internal departments to ensure alignment on government-related projects and initiatives.

Ø Manage and support project initiatives involving government collaboration or regulatory requirements.

Ø Ensure timely completion of project deliverables and compliance with governmental standards.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Ø Build and maintain positive relationships with community leaders, non-governmental organizations, and other stakeholders.

Ø Organize and participate in community engagement activities to promote the company’s interests and corporate social responsibility.

Qualifications:

Education:

Ø Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Law, or a related field (required).

Ø Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Public Affairs, Government Relations) preferred (Optional).

Experience:

Ø Proven experience in government relations, public affairs, or a similar role.

Ø Demonstrated knowledge of government processes, legislative procedures, and regulatory compliance.

Ø Experience in managing relationships with government agencies and officials.

Skills:

Ø Strong understanding of political and regulatory environments.

Ø Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Ø Ability to analyze complex regulatory issues and develop strategic responses.

Ø High level of integrity and professionalism.

Working Conditions:

Ø Full-time position with standard office hours; flexibility may be required to travel for meetings and events.

Ø Regular visits to government offices, conferences, or community events may be necessary.
