Government Property/Inventory Management (DOJ Experience)

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
This position will support the Executive Office for United States Trustees (EOUST), division of Department of Justice (DOJ). As the Property/Financial Analyst II (Government Property and Inventory Management), you will provide property management and services in the functional areas of establishing property records, database management, property movement updates, preparation of physical inventory and property financial reporting in support of leadership.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performing audits, documenting processes and procedures and investigating and reporting lost or damaged property.
Determine property acquisition requirements, product availability and authority to fulfill company, program or contractual obligations.
Maintains accountability from initial acquisition to final disposition by coordinating, preparing and documenting applicable forms to indicate a change of ownership, accountability or location of property in accordance with applicable government regulations, customer contracts or corporate policy.
Verifying that property records accurately reflect inventory on hand and that equipment servicing requirements are established by responsible organizations.
Investigate and report any incidents of loss, damage or destruction of customer property, perform self-governance audits and support any customer property control system audit, coordination of movements of excess property for disposal, preparation of plant clearance schedules, property transfers and scrap documentation.
Work with Client property representatives on property matters.
Maintaining an "Adequate" Property Control System rating.
Applies government regulations, customer contracts, corporate policy or recommended industry standards.
Determine when property is allowable, reasonable, allocable and utilized in accordance with company or contract requirements.
Inventory adjustments, liability determinations and title issues.
Perform financial system duties to include processing invoices and other financial analyst duties.
Handles basic property related activities at completion or termination of contract.
WHAT MATTERS TO US:
Department of Justice (DOJ) Property and Financial systems experience MUST
A bachelor's or master’s degree or higher in Business management;
5+ years of property management or similar experience.
3+ years of federal government experience with a diverse background in multiple Property Management environments (Government agencies)
Understanding of Power BI as an automation tool as well as Microsoft Office, Outlook and Teams.
A knowledge of Property Management FAR, DFAR regulations, procurement practices, policies and procedures are desired.
Experience with Government systems that account for and disposition US Government property and logistics of contracts as it relates to Property Management is desired.
Must be able to obtain a Government security clearance.

This position may have multiple duty locations in the Washington, DC metropolitan commuting area. The employee will be expected to report to various work locations as directed without additional compensation for travel.
