About the Role
This role requires a highly skilled and experienced professional who can work closely with our policy and advocacy staff, communications team, and local and state legislative bodies to represent and protect the interests of the American Muslim community. You will develop and manage CAIR-CA's legislative agenda, track legislation, and participate in workshops and hearings. Establish and maintain strategic relationships with members of government entities and agencies to advocate for civil and human rights legislation.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must have:
Bachelor's degree in political science, public relations, or related field or equivalent work experience.
Minimum three years of full-time experience in public policy and government affairs.
Experience managing teams, staff, and/or volunteers.
