About the Role

The Government Relations Associate will lead Life-Lab’s regional advocacy initiatives with the Government and various external partners towards building a sustainable systemic impact in the region. As an ambassador to the Government, the role involves working closely with, but not limited to, representatives across levels from the Government in the city and state, other organizations in the region including NGOs, corporates, academic/research institutions in policy etc. The role will also involve working with the school & community impact associate, to strengthen our on ground engagement with our partner schools and communities in Coimbatore.

• *Roles & Responsibilities**:

• *Government Relations - (80%)**

- Building and strengthening critical relationships with key stakeholders in the local

Government, local Governing bodies and other political & community leaders towards

the project objectives in Coimbatore.

- Leading key engagements with external organizations & non-profits to enhance the

impact of Life-Lab’s intervention

- Working towards improved investment by local stakeholders in schools and preparing relevant documentation to increase awareness towards the program in the community.

• *School and Community Relations - (10%)**

- Managing the School and Community Relations portfolio towards maximising School & Community Impact in the city along with the Program Manager in the city.

- Thought partnering with the School and Community Relations lead, to design and organize regular interactions with school/government stakeholders, through cluster meetings and School Management Committee meetings.

• *External and internal Communication - (10%)**

- Creating marketing collaterals for social media, donor events and internal requirements

- Need based travel on account of client meetings at project locations

• *Qualification & Experience**:

- Minimum qualification: Graduation. Preferably MSW

- Strong interest in Partnership building

- Proficient in English and Tamil

• *Job Types**: Full-time, Regular / Permanent

• *Salary**: Up to ₹360,000.00 per year
