The Opportunity

We are on the lookout for 1 x Electrical Engineering Graduate to join our growing team based at our head office in Ascot, WA.

We are looking for applicants with a passion to learn and a keen interest in mineral processing who want to work on significant projects across a wide variety of commodities.

You will be part of a team and be mentored by experienced engineers across a range of disciplines and projects.

You will have the opportunity to work both in the design office and on site making real contributions to current projects.

Previous exposure to engineering through vacation programs or other work helps but it’s not essential.

As a graduate Electrical Engineer, you will prepare designs alongside experienced engineers.
Additional courses and training in specialised discipline software.
Exposure to civil / structural, electrical and process engineers within the GRES organisation.
Exposure to the project team including project managers to appreciate what it takes to deliver a project on time and on budget.
Some of the key responsibilities you will learn are:

How to perform electrical calculations from first principles.
Working with drafting teams to produce 2D drawings and updating and interrogating 3D plant models.
Developing data sheets and specifications to allow equipment selection and purchase
How to provide technical assistance to our own construction teams, ensuring a high level of constructability and practicality in our designs.

To be eligible:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Be in your final study year of study or have recently graduated.
Be available to start with GRES full-time at the start of February 2027
Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or have full working rights at the time of application
Be prepared to work in various locations in a FIFO capacity on a 3 and 1 roster as required
High level of written and verbal communication skills.
Strong computer skills using Microsoft office suite.
