About the Auckland System Management (ASM) Alliance
Auckland System Management (ASM) is an alliance between Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency, Fulton Hogan and HEB Construction. ASM is responsible for maintenance and renewals of the physical infrastructure and technology, and the provision of operational services that run Auckland's state highway network.
The Opportunity
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate Engineer to join our team and make their mark on Auckland's motorway network. As Graduate Engineer, you will provide operational and project delivery support to our Traffic Assets, Structures and Stormwater teams. You will use your proven ability to think outside of the box to help develop innovative ideas and ensure these are delivered safely and within the required budget, timeframe, specifications, codes, and regulations.
You will have a variety of responsibilities including:
Developing project proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and resource plans.
Coordinating and overseeing project delivery, including procurement, contractor management, and supervision.
Monitoring project progress, budgets, timelines, and ensuring completion reports.
Planning and organising TTM with the internal planning team for all works.
Working collaboratively with stakeholders, contractors, and agencies, and maintaining clear communication.
Ensuring compliance with HSQE standards, developing and implementing safety programs, and carrying out risk assessments.
Working shifts as required, including being available on call for project needs.
Conducting site safety audits, addressing non-compliance, and acquiring or reviewing engineering documentation as needed.
About you:
You will be a highly motivated graduate engineer who is eager to learn. You will also have:
A relevant tertiary Engineering qualification (civil or equivalent)
Current full NZ driver's license
Experience working with engineering and infrastructure projects
Excellent communication, time management and analytical skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with a diverse range of people
Demonstrated experience working with customers
