Kuehne+Nagel New Zealand have a rare and exciting opportunity to undertake a 12-month internship to obtain structured work experience in the logistics industry, gaining practical skills and knowledge. Reporting to the Managing Director, KN NZ, you will have the opportunity to work on and contribute to the delivery of some key projects, while gaining hands on experience within the logistics industry working across and supporting our Air, Sea and Road business units.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
First Six Months
With guidance from the Managing Director, carry out a detailed external market analysis and prepare a report on the findings; conduct research and gather data on the logistics industry by gathering and interpreting information about the market
Conduct research and gather internal data on the logistics industry and prepare a report on the findings
Second Six Months
With guidance from the GM Sales and Marketing, take ownership of a migration project of sales specific information onto a dedicated SharePoint site
Assist with day-to-day tasks and support on-going projects by rotating across different business units [Air, Sea and Road] to build an understanding of the functioning of each business unit and the logistics industry
Provide ad hoc administrative and operational support during the internship across the various business units as required
About You:
Currently pursuing a degree or recent graduate wanting to undertake an internship and gain hands on work experience within the logistics industry.
Ability to gather, interpret and summarise information from multiple sources to inform decisions and/or support a project.
Ability to data and finding clearly and concisely in written format, such as a report.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
Attention to detail skills coupled with a commitment to delivering high quality work.
Eagerness to gain new skills and learn within a fast-paced industry.
Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, coupled with the ability to use initiative
