Job Description
We're looking for a Graphic Designer who takes pride in execution, understands that design is both creative and technical, and wants real ownership over how a product-driven brand shows up in the world. This is not a narrowly defined production role, and it's not a hands-off art direction position either. You'll be designing, making, refining, and shipping work that goes directly into customers' hands—often in print, packaging, and physical environments.
If you're energized by thoughtful constraints, tactile materials, and seeing your work exist beyond a screen, this role will suit you well.
Role Overview
As a Graphic Designer at WonderFil, you'll work across print, packaging, digital, photography, and video, supporting both wholesale and direct-to-consumer marketing. You'll collaborate closely with marketing, product, and events teams to translate complex product stories into clear, well-designed visuals.
This role sits within a small, skilled creative team. You'll be trusted with meaningful responsibility, expected to manage your work independently, and supported in developing new skills as projects demand.
The pace can be fast at times—especially around product launches and trade shows—but the standard remains high. We value designers who plan well, sweat the details, and understand how good design supports both brand and business goals.
What You'll Work On
Your work will span the full lifecycle of brand and product communication, including:
Designing print and digital marketing materials such as brochures, sell sheets, advertisements, and email assets
Developing packaging systems that are functional, brand-aligned, and visually refined
Creating signage and print materials for trade shows and industry events
Photographing products and stitched samples in a studio environment and editing for marketing use
Producing short-form and long-form video content in a studio setting (filming and editing)
Writing and refining supporting copy where needed, including product descriptions and marketing content
Maintaining visual consistency across channels while adapting designs for different formats and audiences
Preparing accurate, press-ready files and managing revisions through production
You'll be involved from concept through execution, not just handed finished ideas to "make look good."
Core Responsibilities
Design and produce high-quality visual assets across print, digital, packaging, photography, and video
Translate brand standards and product positioning into clear, compelling design solutions
Manage multiple projects with overlapping timelines while maintaining accuracy and consistency
Collaborate with internal teams to align creative output with marketing and business objectives
Maintain organized files, templates, and production workflows
Stay informed about design tools, production methods, and relevant industry trends
Skills & Experience Required
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop; Premiere Pro strongly preferred)
Strong understanding of typography, layout, composition, and visual hierarchy
Experience creating print-ready files and working with pre-press requirements
Comfort working across both digital and physical formats
Solid organizational skills and the ability to manage deadlines independently
Clear communication skills and good design judgment
A portfolio demonstrating thoughtful execution and design fundamentals
Preferred (Not Required)
Product or packaging design experience
Studio product photography and photo retouching experience
Video filming and editing experience
Illustration skills applicable to patterns, packaging, or brand assets
Experience in manufacturing, craft, or product-driven brands
Familiarity with the quilting, embroidery, or maker communities
We value capability and judgment over years of experience. Designers early in their careers with strong fundamentals are encouraged to apply.
What Success Looks Like
After 6–12 months, a successful designer in this role:
Produces reliable, high-quality work that requires minimal revision
Understands the WonderFil brand and applies it consistently across formats
Manages projects proactively and communicates clearly with the team
Contributes ideas and solutions, not just finished files
Is trusted to own creative deliverables from start to finish
Your work will directly influence how our products are perceived—by retailers, educators, and makers worldwide.
Portfolio Expectations
We’re looking for portfolios that show:
Strong fundamentals in layout, typography, and composition
Examples of print, packaging, or production-ready work
Evidence of problem-solving and process—not just polished final images
Consistency and attention to detail
If you’ve worked across multiple mediums, show how your thinking adapts. Context matters.
