Graphics Designer + Production
Liverpool, NY | Pay: $50,000–$60,000/year (DOE) | Hours: 8:00–4:30 (occasional OT for installs)
What You’ll Do:
- Assist the graphics department: schedule, prioritize, communicate status, hit deadlines
- Assist in running production: wide-format printers/laminators/plotters; basic maintenance & color checks
- Prepress/preflight: panelization, bleeds, contours, accurate scale; clean cut paths
- File handoff to CNC (create/router-ready files; router maintenance handled by Production)
- Build & install: banners (hem/grommet), sign faces, vinyl/lettering, wall graphics; assist field installs
- Inventory & vendors: track stock, order materials, negotiate pricing, reduce waste
- Process & quality: standardize file structure/naming, SOPs, and shop checklists; improve throughput
Must-Have Skills:
- Adobe Illustrator power user (Photoshop/InDesign a plus)
- RIP workflow: Onyx, Caldera, Flexi, or similar (icc profiles, tiling, nesting)
- Hands-on wide-format experience (print, laminate, weed, mask, apply)
- Organization & team leadership in a deadline-driven shop
Nice to Have:
- Vehicle graphics/wraps; wall-wrap installs
- ShopVOX (or similar MIS), color management basics (ΔE targets/G7 mindset)
- OSHA lift cert/clean driver record
