Job Description
A Graphic Designer conceptualises and creates designs and layouts for books, and other print materials including brochures, catalogues, fliers, posters, etc. with a keen sense of aesthetics, audience, and educational environment. The designer develops graphics and layouts for all product illustrations, maintains a design archive, and coordinates with the production team to send the printers final layouts and artwork. The Designer plays a key-role in Product Development illustrating and compiling books and educational materials, and constantly researches new software and design concepts to make design-innovations.
Required Candidate profile
• Expertise in the design software, Adobe Photoshop and CorelDraw / Adobe Illustrator is a must.
• Preference will be given to additional expertise in Adobe Animate CC.
• Basic knowledge of video-editing to create and edit educational videos preferable.
• Preference will be given to experienced candidates.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
• Mastery of the specified design software
• Ability to provide specialised design service.
• Good communication skills in English.
• An eye for detail; an ability to determine proportion, size, style, material, etc. of illustration.
• Demonstrates initiative with an ability to work independently and perform multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
• Project management, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Innovative, creative, patient, and meticulous in both content and presentation
• Rigour in preparing notes for final layouts and printing.
