Job Title: Graphic Designer and Editor
Job Summary:
Our book publishing company is seeking a highly skilled and creative Book Designer and Editor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and editing books, ensuring they are visually appealing and professionally presented. You will work closely with authors, illustrators, and other publishing professionals to create high-quality publications that meet the expectations of our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and layout book pages, covers, and other materials using industry-standard software such as Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
• Work with authors and illustrators to develop visual concepts and creative themes that enhance the overall presentation of the book.
• Edit and proofread manuscripts for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and clarity of expression.
• Ensure that all books meet publishing industry standards and are delivered on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with other publishing professionals, including writers, editors, marketers, and printers, to ensure that projects are completed to the highest standard.
• Stay up to date with publishing industry trends and technologies to ensure our company remains at the forefront of the industry.

• Excellent IT skills, especially with design and photo-editing software.
• Exceptional creativity and innovation.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• An understanding of the latest trends and their role within a commercial environment.
Education:
• Graduate in any Discipline / Diploma in Graphic Designing

• Collaborate with the team to ensure consistency of designs across various media outlets.
• Create compelling and effective logos, designs, print and digital media

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field
• 2- years of experience in graphic design
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong communication, conceptual thinking, typography skills and design skills
• Portfolio of work
