Summary: Develops visual imagery that communicates the organization's marketing objectives through campaigns, printed materials, exhibit display graphics, and digital media. Defines requirements, visualizing and creating graphics including but not limited to illustrations, logos, layouts, photos, websites and more.
Essential Duties:
Participates in marketing strategy sessions and project meetings
Reviews campaign requirements, gains an understanding of the target audience to which a marketing campaign is directed, develops concepts and manages deadlines
Sketches or electronically produces concept ideas for review and approval for execution
Responsible for communicating and protecting the company's brand identity and graphic standards
Designs and prepares layouts for printed and electronic catalogs, ecommerce web sites, direct mail and larger format graphics
Creates and publishes instructional and promotional videos on YouTube
Assists with social media and ecommerce store management
Captures and edits product images and maintains image library and files
Supports graphic design needs for custom print jobs (customer product labels, etc.) and manufacturing (decals, control panel templates, etc.)
Study design briefs and determine requirements
Conceptualize visuals based on requirements; prepare rough drafts and present ideas to team
Work on a wide range of projects and media, using various software programs to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs that meet the business goals of both the organization and its customers
Work independently, as well as cooperatively with teams to meet deadlines, stay within budget, and schedule project implementation based on workload, which may include multiple simultaneous projects
Examine existing processes, identify flaws, and create solutions that improve design capabilities
Update and maintain internal databases for designs, photography and video
Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
College degree and at least 1-3 years of experience in graphic design required
Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus
Experience with videography and photography is preferred
Intermediate experience with Mac and Windows computer skills
Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
Working knowledge of HTML and CMS platforms
Working knowledge of email platforms; Microsoft Dynamics preferred but not required
Extensive knowledge of MS products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams
Proven graphic designing experience
Strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
Exceptional creativity and innovating design skills
Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as Adobe Creative Suite, Mac products, Illustrator, Photoshop)
Keen eye for aesthetics and details
Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
