We are seeking a skilled Graphic Designer to join our publishing department with expertise in creating GIFs, custom images, and working in the educational technology (EdTech) space. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop is a primary requirement for this role. As a Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and engaging visuals that support educational content and enhance the learning experience. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to understand the educational objectives and transform concepts into compelling visuals. Your creativity, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines will be key to succeeding in this role.
Responsibilities
Design and create captivating GIFs using Adobe Photoshop to be used in educational materials or digital platforms.
Develop custom images, illustrations, infographics, or diagrams using Photoshop, aligning them with the educational content and learning outcomes.
Collaborate closely with educational content developers, subject matter experts, or instructional designers to ensure visual materials effectively support the learning objectives.
Design interactive elements, such as buttons, icons, or navigation interfaces, for educational software, websites, or digital learning platforms.
Apply visual storytelling techniques to convey information and engage learners through the use of sequential graphics or step-by-step visuals.
Utilize Photoshop to edit and enhance images for educational materials, ensuring consistency, clarity, and adherence to branding guidelines.
Work with user experience (UX) designers or instructional designers to create intuitive user interfaces for educational software or EdTech platforms.
Adapt and optimize designs for various digital platforms, considering responsive design principles and compatibility across devices.
Stay updated on emerging EdTech trends, interactive design techniques, and technological advancements relevant to the field.
Maintain a well-organized file structure, version control, and backup system for design files created in Adobe Photoshop.
Conduct quality checks on final designs, including image resolution, color accuracy, and functionality of interactive elements.
Collaborate with other design tools and software, such as Adobe Illustrator, After Effects, or interactive prototyping tools, to enhance design capabilities.
Meet project deadlines, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Graphic Designer, with a focus on GIF creation, custom images, and EdTech.
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop is essential; familiarity with other Adobe Creative Suite software is a plus.
Strong portfolio showcasing relevant work, including GIFs, custom images, and EdTech design projects.
Solid understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
Experience in educational publishing or EdTech is highly desirable.
Knowledge of responsive design principles and designing for multiple platforms (web, mobile, etc.).
Familiarity with user interface (UI) design and interactive design principles.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Excellent attention to detail and time management skills to meet project deadlines.
Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with industry trends and advancements in graphic design and EdTech.
