We're looking to bring a new graphic designer onto our team.
Tips when applying
Resumes are boring (for both of us). We're just going to skim where you studied, worked and what you did, so don't put too much effort into it. Focus on your portfolio, and in your cover letter, tell us what makes you unique. We don't want boring corporate babble.
As a graphic designer, your role will primarily include:
Study design briefs and determine requirements;
Assist in preparing concepts based on customer briefs;
Work with other staff to produce final deliverables;
Work with other internal specialists (like marketers, website designers, etc) to produce various deliverables.
Amend designs after feedback;
Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand;
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of design and branding trends;
Accurately record and store information by filing guidelines;
What kind of projects will you work on?
This role will heavily emphasise publication-style projects (like high-end yearbooks, annual reports, etc.). However, it will also be mixed with other design projects, such as visual identities, stationery and advertising material, website wireframes and prototypes, and other ad hoc design projects.
Skills required
Adobe Indesign, Illustrator, XD + basic Photoshop skills.
Time management and planning skills;
Confidence to speak and work with clients;
Experience preparing files for print;
Proficient English and articulate communication;
