What you will be doing:
As a Graphic Designer on the Design team, you will handle graphic design requests to ensure all visual executions are seamless and represent the Tangerine Brand.
You will be responsible for the design and production of various visual assets for the website, mobile app, marketing campaigns, email, and content marketing support. The successful candidate thrives in a dynamic, collaborative, fast-paced environment and is dedicated to design excellence and creativity. You work to create effective and impactful design solutions.
The Graphic Designer will report directly into the Product Design Lead, Marketing & Design System.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
Create original, high-quality illustrations tailored to product and campaign needs and manage an inventory of custom illustrations and stock photography assets.
Collaboration is second nature to you as you will work along with product design and marketing teams to conceptualize and execute custom illustrations that enhance user engagement across digital platforms.
Ensure consistency of visual assets across all digital channels and cross-functional teams.
Articulate design decisions based on design principles, customer data, and business needs.
Design or update internal communication pieces including desk-drops, PowerPoint presentations, intranet or other design and graphic needs as required.
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple project priorities and deadlines.
Interact and consult with other team members and stakeholders at various levels including copywriters, project managers, creative specialists, digital project owners, agile team leaders, managers, directors and VPs.
Contribute to the evolution of the Tangerine Design system.
Contribute to shaping, influencing and nurturing our design culture and process.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
Diploma or bachelor's degree in graphic design (or equivalent).
3+ years of professional experience.
Exceptional creative, graphic design, and illustration skills for print, web, and mobile, with a strong portfolio showcasing original illustration work.
Strong visual storytelling skills with a keen eye for detail, composition, and colour.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional knowledge of Mac platform with expert skills in
Proficiency in digital illustration tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Procreate, or equivalent
Adobe Photoshop and Acrobat
Web (knowledge of best practices, image optimization, responsive design/programming, HTML and CSS)
Your toolbox includes Figma and Microsoft (Word, PowerPoint). Experience with Adobe After Effects is an asset.
Ability to work independently when required, and highly collaborative with groups at all levels of the organization.
Ability to develop and adapt illustration styles to suit various product design and campaign needs.
Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills able to make timely decisions.
Positive and resilient personality and can embrace feedback and have a desire for continuous iteration and improvement.
