Position Overview:
As a Research Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting our consultancy's initiatives to create impactful preschool setups in rural villages and small towns. You will contribute by conducting thorough research, gathering insights, and generating recommendations that inform our strategies and decision-making.
Responsibilities:
1. Research and Data Collection:
- Conduct comprehensive research on early childhood education models, methodologies, and best practices, focusing on their relevance in rural Indian settings.
- Collect data on the specific educational needs, challenges, and opportunities in target villages and small towns.
2. Needs Assessment:
- Collaborate with the consultancy team to identify the educational gaps and requirements of each village and small town.
- Assist in assessing the local culture, traditions, and resources that can influence curriculum design and implementation.
3. Impact Evaluation:
- Assist in designing frameworks for evaluating the impact of our preschool initiatives on children's development, community engagement, and overall well-being.
- Contribute to data collection and analysis for measuring the effectiveness of our programs.
4. CSR Alignment:
- Research and analyze the CSR policies and goals of partnering organizations to ensure our preschool initiatives align with their broader social responsibility objectives.
5. Report Generation:
- Compile research findings into comprehensive reports and presentations that provide actionable insights for the consultancy's projects.
6. Collaboration and Support:
- Collaborate with various teams within the consultancy, including curriculum development, community engagement, and operations, to contribute research insights.
- Support the team in developing strategies and solutions based on your research findings.
7. Stay Updated:
- Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in early childhood education, particularly those relevant to rural communities.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing or completed a degree in Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related fields.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to gather, interpret, and present data effectively.
- Passion for and understanding of early childhood education and rural development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software is a plus.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Cultural sensitivity and an ability to adapt to local contexts.
- Prior experience in research or community engagement is preferred but not mandatory.
