• Job Title: Assistant, Associate, or Professor Fashion & Textile Design
We are seeking a distinguished professional with expertise in textile and fashion design to join our esteemed faculty at Subharti University.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Textile and Fashion Design, ensuring students receive a comprehensive education that aligns with industry standards and emerging trends.
• Develop and deliver practical workshops on textile techniques and fashion design, providing students with hands-on experience and skill-building opportunities.
• Mentor students in designing collections, research projects, and portfolio development, guiding them towards achieving their academic and career goals.
• Foster collaboration with industry professionals for internships, projects, and exhibitions, establishing valuable connections between academia and the fashion industry.
• Conduct academic research and contribute to publications in the fields of textile and fashion design, furthering knowledge and innovation in these areas.
• Organize and participate in fashion shows, exhibitions, and other academic and cultural events, promoting the university's reputation as a hub for creativity and excellence.
• Provide academic guidance and support to students in their career planning, empowering them to succeed in their chosen profession.
Requirements:
• Master's (MFD) or Ph.D. in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related discipline.
• UGC NET or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Expertise in textile design, including surface design techniques such as printing, embroidery, dyeing, and weaving.
• Knowledge of sustainable and innovative textile development, fabric construction, and material properties.
• Proficiency in fashion design, including garment design, pattern-making, and draping techniques.
• Advanced skills in CAD software, such as CorelDRAW, Photoshop, and other design tools.
