Graphic Designer & Video Editor
Full-Time | In-House | Calgary, AB
Salary: $70,000
Start Date: Within 2–4 weeks
Agency Atlas is looking for an experienced Graphic Designer & Video Editor to join our in-house creative team in Calgary. This is a full-time, salaried role for someone who’s equal parts designer, editor, and problem-solver, and who thrives in a collaborative agency environment.
This is not a remote role. Applicants must be local to Calgary and willing to work primarily in-office, with occasional work-from-home flexibility.
About the Role
You’ll work closely with our creative, digital, and strategy teams to produce high-quality visual assets across branding, advertising, social media, websites, video campaigns, and client presentations. Projects move fast, expectations are high, and the work is varied.
You should be comfortable owning projects from concept through execution, and confident switching between design and video editing throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities
Design visual assets for digital, print, social, advertising, and brand campaigns
Edit and produce video content for web, social, ads, and presentations
Create motion graphics and light animation using After Effects
Collaborate with creative directors, strategists, and account teams
Prepare and optimize assets for multiple platforms and formats
Support website and digital builds with front-end-ready design files
Occasionally assist with on-set or in-studio video production
Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and quality standards
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 3 years professional experience in a design and/or video role
Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
Premiere Pro and After Effects
Working knowledge of Figma
Basic to intermediate understanding of HTML and CSS (front-end friendly design is essential)
Strong layout, typography, and visual storytelling skills
Experience designing for brands, campaigns, and performance-driven marketing
Ability to take direction, feedback, and run independently with projects
Nice-to-Have
Agency experience
Motion graphics or animation background
Experience with social-first or performance ad creative
Familiarity with CMS or website build workflows
Location & Work Style
In-house role based in Calgary, AB
Friday work-from-home and other days have flexibility, but a strong in-office presence is required
