Job Overview: A graphic designer is responsible for creating visually appealing and effective designs for a variety of projects, including print materials, digital media, and more. They work with clients, marketing teams, or art directors to understand project requirements and deliver designs that align with branding and communication goals. Key Responsibilities: 1. Design Creation: Develop visually appealing and conceptually sound designs for a variety of media, including print, digital and multimedia. 2. Conceptualization: Collaborate with clients, art directors, or project managers to conceptualize and develop design solutions that meet project objectives. 3. Layout and Composition: Arrange elements, including text and images, to create balanced and aesthetically pleasing designs. 4. Typography: Select and use fonts effectively to enhance design readability and impact. 5. Colour Theory: Utilize colour theory to create designs that convey desired emotions and messages. 6. Image Editing: Edit and manipulate images to enhance their quality and relevance within the design. 7. Software Proficiency: Be proficient in graphic design software tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant software 8. Print and Production: Prepare and provide specifications for printing or production, ensuring designs meet industry standards. 9. Brand Consistency: Maintain consistency with established brand guidelines in all design work. 10. Communication: Collaborate with clients, team members, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver design solutions that align with project objectives. 11. Time Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks effectively. 12. Staying Current: Keep up with industry trends and design best practices to continually improve skills and maintain relevance. Qualifications: - A bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field is often preferred. - At least 1 - 2 years of experience required - Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects and styles. - Proficiency in graphic design software and tools. - Strong understanding of design principles, layout, typography, and colour theory. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently. - Problem-solving skills and creativity. • Optional Skills:* - Illustration skills. - Motion graphics and video editing skills. - Web design and development knowledge (HTML, CSS, etc.). - Experience with 3D modelling and animation. - Knowledge of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles
