POSITION OVERVIEW:
This position is responsible for supporting Gas Turbine Solution group in engineering of retrofitting of existing Gas Turbine control systems. The candidate will be an essential member of a team-oriented Turbine Retrofit Project Group with responsibilities for graphics design/implementation and test functions. Responsibilities will include providing support in the development and testing of HMI control and supervisory interface screens. Candidate will provide support, to the members of the GTS controls group, in the creation of software development standards/practices and work instructions. Candidate shall be self-motivated and possess effective skills for communicating with internal and external customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Development of Ovation Graphics from P&IDs / Customer provided graphics / Narratives
• Familiar with Design / Implementation of controls from SAMA / Functional diagrams / Narratives
• Creation / modification of Ovation HW / Internal Point Database
• Testing & Troubleshooting of implemented graphics
• Conversion of graphics of Third Party DCS (ABB/Bailey INFI +0, Siemens T3000, GE Mark V/ VI, Mitsubishi DIASYS Netmation, Invensys, Woodward Micronet) / PLC systems (for e.g. GE Fanuc /Allen Bradley /Siemens/Ladder logic) to Ovation
• Manage project requirements, schedule and execution through delivery
• Interfacing with the engineering teams to maintain control strategy standards
• Provide project status updates to project teams and management
• Follow Department Quality processes and procedures
• Support Customer Design Review and Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) activities
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office, Word and Excel etc.
Desirable :
• retrofit engineering knowledge
• EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation/Mechanical/Power Engineering
• Minimum experience of two years on Ovation platform with focus on Ovation Graphics

Internal: GEC Projects & Service – North America team
External: Front office (GTS) / Customer
Skills Knowledge & Experience
• Experience with designing and implementing of Ovation graphics.
• Experience with ISA and SAMA logic symbols, Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
• Advanced troubleshooting, problem-solving, decision-making, and planning skills.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Ability and willingness to travel as may be required
