We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting aggregates safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a commitment to safety, punctuality, and excellent customer service as you represent our company on the road.
Duties
Operate heavy trucks to transport aggregates and fill to various destinations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
Load and unload aggregate , ensuring that it is secured properly for transport.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and cargo details as per regulatory requirements.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving in various weather conditions.
Perform minor automotive repairs and maintenance on the truck when necessary.
Operate forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed for loading and unloading freight.
Experience
Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
Familiarity with freight handling procedures and regulations.
Experience in operating heavy equipment is preferred.
Basic knowledge of automotive repair is a plus.
Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently is desirable.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
