Job Description
Haul aggregates and/or asphalt to various work sites in Calgary and the surrounding area.
Perform daily preventative maintenance inspections and safety checks to proactively identify any potential mechanical issues and advise the Dispatch Supervisor
Always keep truck in clean and professional condition.
Complete daily accurate pre-inspections, regulatory logs (e-logs), and timesheets.
Complete daily accurate Field Level Hazard Assessment sheets for all worksites.
Qualifications and Experience:
A minimum 2-year commercial driving experience.
Must have a valid Class 1 driver’s license and provide current 5-year commercial drivers abstract.
Must be able to drive standard (18 speed).
Previous experience paving would be a great asset.
Active Standard First Aid Certification is considered an asset.
Construction Safety Training System (CSTS2020) Certification will be provided.
Ability to identify and describe mechanical issues on the truck.
Must have own transportation with strong knowledge of Calgary and surrounding area.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Must be available to work long hours including evenings and weekends.
Must have CSA approved safety boots.
Able to climb up and down from equipment.
