• 5+ YEARS HVAC SERVICE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Great American Air Conditioning is hiring an experienced HVAC Technician to service residential and light commercial systems throughout Phoenix and the surrounding Valley. This role is ideal for a mid- to senior-level HVAC technician who is comfortable working in Arizona heat, on rooftop and split units, and in residential and commercial environments.
Technicians participate in a rotating summer weekend on-call schedule, which provides consistent overtime hours and strong earning potential during peak cooling season.
Key Responsibilities
• Install, service, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems
• Diagnose and troubleshoot AC systems, heat pumps, furnaces, and package units
• Perform HVAC maintenance, inspections, and system startups
• Work on rooftop units (RTUs) and residential split systems
• Ensure all work complies with Arizona codes, manufacturer specs, and safety standards
• Communicate clearly with homeowners and light commercial customers
• Participate in a mandatory rotating summer on-call schedule for weekend service
• Maintain service vehicle, tools, and accurate job documentation
Requirements
• 5+ years of HVAC service experience
• Strong experience with Phoenix-area residential and light commercial HVAC systems
• EPA Certification (required)
• Valid driver’s license (clean driving record) and reliable transportation
• Strong electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in attics, rooftops, and extreme summer temperatures
• Dependable, professional, and customer-focused
Preferred (Not Required)
• NATE Certification
• Experience mentoring junior technicians
