The Kids Cancer Centre at Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick is seeking a suitably qualified Social Worker, Psychologist, or Counsellor to lead grief and bereavement support for families within the KCC service.
The successful candidate will have experience providing counselling in bereavement, palliative care, or end-of-life settings, along with specialist knowledge of grief, loss, and bereavement processes.

What you'll be doing
The Bereavement Counsellor is responsible for providing an effective and timely counselling service for bereaved families of the Kids Cancer Centre. They are required to conduct assessments, plan and provide bereavement support, counselling, support groups, consultation and education to ensure clients are able to function within their relevant environment.

The Bereavement Counsellor is a competent clinical practitioner who is able to work under minimum professional supervision and will function as part of the inter-disciplinary team. They are able to exercise independent judgement on routine matters and may require direct professional supervision from more senior staff members when performing novel, complex or critical tasks.
