The Opportunity
We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Ground Instructor to deliver structured theoretical training to student pilots and support the ground training program of the Flight Training Organization (FTO).
The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting ground school classes, preparing lesson plans, monitoring student progress, and ensuring that training is delivered in accordance with DGCA regulations and approved training programs.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Ground Training Delivery
• Conduct classroom instruction for pilot ground school subjects as per the approved training syllabus
• Deliver structured lessons covering DGCA examination subjects and aviation theory
🔹 Training Planning & Lesson Preparation
• Prepare and maintain lesson plans for all assigned subjects
• Ensure training is conducted according to the approved ground training schedule
🔹 Student Progress Monitoring
• Assess student performance through periodic tests and assessments
• Monitor student learning progress and provide feedback to improve performance
🔹 Training Documentation & Records
• Maintain accurate training records, attendance logs, and assessment documentation
• Ensure all documentation complies with DGCA and FTO training standards
🔹 Academic Support
• Guide students in preparation for DGCA examinations
• Provide additional academic support sessions where required
🔹 Training Quality & Compliance
• Ensure adherence to training standards and regulatory guidelines
• Support the Chief Ground Instructor (CGI) in maintaining ground training quality and standardization
🔹 Coordination with Training Leadership
• Coordinate with Chief Ground Instructor (CGI), Chief Flying Instructor (CFI), and Operations team for training schedules and student progress reviews
Ideal Candidate Profile
✔ Graduate in Aviation, Engineering, Science, or related field
✔ Minimum 2 years of teaching or instructional experience with an FTO / Aviation Training Organization / Defense Aviation Training Institution / AAI
✔ Strong understanding of DGCA ground school subjects and pilot licensing examinations
✔ Excellent classroom teaching, presentation, and communication skills
✔ Ability to simplify complex aviation concepts for student pilots
✔ Strong organizational skills and attention to training documentation
Preferred Qualifications
⭐ DGCA-approved Ground Instructor certification (preferred)
⭐ Prior experience teaching CPL / PPL / ATPL subjects
⭐ Experience working within a DGCA-regulated training environment
