The opportunity
The Boeing MQ28 - Ghost Bat is a globally-significant program that will deliver a disruptive advantage to support Defence operational capabilities. Developed in partnership with the Royal Australian Air Force, it is the first military combat aircraft to be designed, manufactured and assembled in Australia in 50 years.
Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineerto support the design, development, integration and test of new capabilities within the MQ-28 Ghost Bat.
Based in Brisbane, the successful candidate will work in the Ground Systems team which is responsible for providing the technical oversight and leadership for the development of the MQ-28 Ground Systems.
As an experienced Senior Systems Engineer you will:
Plan and lead the development ofCollaborate with the existing team, including internal and external stakeholders
Requirements and architecture for the MQ-28 Ground Systems using tools within the Boeing Digital Environment for Systems Engineering (DESE).
Trade studies and design investigations to meet the capability objectives and requirements of the MQ-28 Ground Systems.
Technical / engineering documentation including Requirements Specifications, Design Documents, and Analysis Reports.
Plan and lead the conduct of test activities including Test Planning, Test Procedure development and conduct, and Test Reports providing support to the program Verification and Validation activities.
To be considered for the role you will have:
Minimum of 8 years' experience in complex technical development and integration projects (essential)
Hold Tertiary qualifications in either Aerospace, Avionics, or Mechatronics, that satisfies the requirements for membership with Engineers Australia (MIEAust) or equivalent technical experience in a Systems Engineering discipline (essential)
Demonstrated experience in systems and software development lifecycle (essential).
A current or able to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (essential).
Experience in secure by design ICT principles (desirable)
Experience in System Safety (desirable)
Experience in EMI/EMC design and testing (desirable)
Experience with aircraft avionics and UAV systems (desirable).
Experience using DOORS and Magic System of Systems Architect (desirable)
Familiarity with engineering change processes (desirable)
Experience with Agile delivery methodologies (highly regarded)
Experience with Autonomous Systems projects (highly regarded)
Experience with aerospace and / or Defence projects (highly regarded.)
