Job Description
Lawns:
Rake up leaves and dispose of at the direction of the Park Manager
Mow lawns to the appropriate height at suitable intervals for the time of year
Edge all grassed areas with the lawn edger, whipper snipper or both
Spray for weeds and pests at the appropriate times
Fertilise, top dress and aerate grassed areas at appropriates times as required
Rehabilitate bare areas as required
Maintain the reticulation system
Garden Beds:
Maintain garden beds weed free
Spray for pests at the appropriate times
Prune shrubs as required NEATLY
Trim hedges as required NEATLY
Plants are to be replaced with the correct species keeping within the company policy of being water wise.
Create new garden beds as appropriate and in accordance with the park
development plans.
Install new and maintain the existing reticulation system as required
Install garden lights if required
Trees and Shrubs:
Prune trees and shrubs as directed by the Park Manager. Safety procedures must be observed at all times.
Report dangerous trees and branches to the Park Manager.
Monitor trees and shrubs near power lines.
Roads and Pathways:
Keep unobstructed and clear of leaves, sand and debris
Check lighting on a regular basis
Spray roads and paths for weeds and pests when appropriate
Repair as required and fill potholes as they appear
Paint road humps and Fire Hose Reel pointers as required
Facilities and Accommodation:
Wash down and clean areas with pressure cleaner
Wash down and clean ensuites when vacated
Assist with cleaning of amenities as directed by the Park Manager
Repaint areas as required at appropriate times
Clean carpets as directed by Park Manager
Repair or replace doors, flyscreens, cabinets and locks etc as required
Repair interior and exterior areas as required
Assist with the construction of verandas, carports and patios as required
Assist with tiling, grouting and paving activities
Carry out pool maintenance as directed by the Park Manager
Clean gutters as required
Clean BBQ’s as required
Carry out minor plumbing tasks e.g. Repairs to leaking systems, Unblocking drains, Replacing tap washers
Other duties:
Green waste is to be taken to the tip on a regular basis as directed by the
Park Manager
Regular cleaning and maintenance of machinery, tools and vehicles must be carried out. Park Manager will direct when this is to be done.
Report damaged, lost and unsafe tools and machinery to Park Manager.
The workshop is to be kept tidy and safe at all times. Tools are to be returned to the correct area or shelf.
Any other duties the Park Manager may require to be carried out from time to time.
This role is for 35 hours each week (five weekdays of seven hours each).
