About the role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Group Financial Controller to lead our finance function and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our growing business. This is an exceptional opportunity for a proven financial leader to partner with the CEO, Board, and Executive Leadership Team (ELT) in driving commercial outcomes and strengthening financial integrity.
As the organisation continues its growth trajectory, you will oversee all aspects of financial management, governance, and compliance - bringing rigour, insight, and strategic decision-making.
As the Group Financial Controller, you will
Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO, Board, and ELT, partnering closely to deliver business strategy and commercial outcomes.
Drive financial discipline into all aspects of the organisation focusing on accountability, risk mitigation and financial performance.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
Establish good corporate governance arrangements and processes in alignment with ASX and other governing bodies safeguarding the organisation’s assets and reputation.
Ensure existing and future financial systems are robust and capable of supporting the organisation for the longer term.
Responsible for all financial aspects such as budget planning, controlling, reporting & performance measurement, capex, tax, treasury and statutory obligations.
Build a strong, collaborative, multi-skilled and agile finance function that is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service to a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Lead the preparation of annual budgets partnering with executive leadership team.
Monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual reporting ensuring organisational accounting policies and related processes are in alignment with ASX listing compliance.
Preparation of board papers and statutory reporting.
Providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts and manage the capital request and budgeting processes.
Provide commercial insights, financial modelling, and market analysis to inform business initiatives and opportunities.
Oversight of statutory lodgements (Payroll tax, BAS, IAS, FBT and Company Income Tax returns) and compliance.
Provide advice on the financial implications of Cann activities to the CEO based in industry and market research.
Manage periodic creditor/supplier payment runs to ensure timely payment of creditors/suppliers.
Assist the Company Secretary as required.
Keep up to date with developments in the appropriate legislation, regulations, guidelines & best practice as they relate to finance and accounting.
About you
Qualifications / Licences
Degree qualified in Accounting or Finance, with CA or CPA (or equivalent) membership.
Pre-employment Security & Health screening.
Experience & Competencies
Minimum of 10 plus years’ experience in responsible financial leadership roles.
Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and compliance frameworks; ASX experience highly regarded.
Proven ability of financial leadership ideally within a multi-site manufacturing business.
Highly analytical with a track record of driving transformation and improving financial performance.
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to mentor and inspire high-performing teams.
