Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Group Manager to oversee and lead the IT function across a portfolio of 5–6 hotels in Portugal. This role requires a seasoned professional from the hospitality industry, with a strong background in managing both IT infrastructure and applications within multi-property hotel environments.
The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the group’s technology strategy, driving innovation through AI and automation, and building high-performing IT teams to support business growth and guest excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage IT operations across 5–6 hotel properties in alignment with the group’s business objectives
• Design and implement strategic IT plans and initiatives, ensuring scalable and future-ready infrastructure
• Evaluate, recommend, and deploy the latest technologies, with a focus on AI, automation, and customer-centric solutions
• Collaborate with senior leadership to drive technology transformation and digital innovation across properties
• Oversee both infrastructure (networks, systems, security) and application (PMS, POS, CRM, ERP) landscapes
• Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and service-level agreements (SLAs)
• Recruit, mentor, and manage IT team members across hotel sites, aligning deployment based on skills and growth potential
• Ensure IT compliance, cybersecurity standards, and data privacy regulations are met
Key Requirements:
• Minimum 8–10 years of IT experience within the hospitality industry, with proven leadership managing multiple hotel properties
• Strong understanding of both IT infrastructure and application ecosystems
• Knowledge and application of AI and automation tools in hotel operations (guest services, pricing, personalization, etc.)
• Exposure to international work environments or global hospitality brands preferred
• Excellent people management and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
Preferred:
• Experience with leading hotel tech platforms (e.g., Opera, Oracle Hospitality, Mews, etc.)
• Certifications in project management or cybersecurity (e.g., PMP, CISSP)
