AGI is a highly regarded, growing third-party insurance administrator (TPA) providing administrative services and web-based solutions to the financial services industry. Due to continued growth, we are looking for insurance analysts to join our high-performing dynamic team in a full-time office based position.

About the role

As a group insurance analyst, you will provide a wide range of support services to brokers and insurers while contributing to the continuous improvement of our internal operations.

Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents with full working rights.

Reporting to a team leader who will provide support and oversight, you will be the primary contact for brokers and the insurers for the general administration of a portfolio of the insurer's policies. This role will expose you to stimulating work that will challenge you and hone your analytical and problem-solving skills.

At the beginning of your journey at AGI you will be paired with a mentor who will train you in all aspects of the role. They will support the development of your skills, enabling you to work independently and achieve the highest levels of competency.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

supporting insurers with general policy administration services including quoting, annual premium reconciliations, and policy document drafting
managing a portfolio of plans doing GL and GSC annual reviews and premium reconciliations involving validation and cleansing of client data
dealing with adviser and broker queries
maintenance of database records
providing feedback to managers and IT staff to improve internal systems
updating and improving internal procedures

Additionally, you will have:

very strong numeracy skills with exceptionally high attention to detail
high familiarity with Microsoft Excel
intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel including advanced formulas and data analysis functions
fluency in English, especially the ability to write to a professional standard
the ability to apply knowledge to solve problems and mitigate issues
good time management
Desirable but not essential:

relevant experience in similar fields of work or strong academic results in actuarial science, accounting, business, IT, engineering, or mathematics (bachelor's degree or higher).
