Group Music Teacher – South Brisbane (Casual / Part-Time)

Mad Hatter Music is a fun and creative music school with locations in Springwood and Birkdale. We are now expanding to South Brisbane. Our goal is to help students build confidence, self-esteem, and a lifelong love of music. We’re known for our warm, family-like learning environment, where child-led, creative education is at the heart of everything we do.
About the Role:
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Group Music Teacher to run after-school classes in:
South Brisbane
Some lesson cover in Springwood & Birkdale is possible
This is a maternity leave position with strong potential for ongoing work.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and teach small group music classes for children
Use creative and engaging approaches to music education
Source or adapt music and teaching materials
Maintain lesson plans and student notes
Work closely with the Mad Hatter team for support and resources
What We’re Looking For:
Outgoing and confident working with children
Strong musical skills – able to sight read, improvise, and compose at a reasonable level
Passion for creative, child-led learning
Reliable and well-organised, with excellent time management
Able to commit to at least 6 months
Previous experience teaching or working with kids (ideal but not essential)
Available for regular afternoon shifts during the school term
