This role
As the Growth Product Owner, you’ll play a key role in executing and delivering our website roadmap, driving initiatives across SEO, Conversion, and overall website growth. Reporting to the Growth Product Manager, you’ll serve as the operational backbone of the website squad, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, on time, on quality, and aligned with business priorities.

You’ll own the day-to-day execution across the website engineering squad, overseeing sprints, backlog management, QA, and the triage of inbound web requests. You’ll also oversee post-build delivery, working closely with engineers on new features and enhancements, while supporting the Web Content Ops team to deliver BAU and campaign activities seamlessly.

This role sits within the Website, SEO & Conversion team in Growth Marketing, collaborating closely with engineers, designers, data analysts, and SEO and Conversion Managers to deliver a high-performing website experience that drives measurable growth.

As our Product Owner, you’ll be responsible for:

Website Delivery & Execution

Own the day-to-day delivery and execution of website experience initiatives in collaboration with the Growth Product Manager, Engineering squad and cross-functional stakeholders.
Translate strategic goals into actionable web initiatives, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Lead sprint ceremonies, backlog management, QA testing, and delivery planning, ensuring projects are released on time, on quality, and aligned with roadmap priorities.
Work closely with engineers, designers, and data teams to ensure solutions are technically feasible, scalable, and deliver measurable growth and revenue impact.
Ensure all releases go through proper QA processes through staging and meet performance and usability standards across devices and regions.
Website Operations & Triage

Act as the first point of contact and triage for website requests (e.g. new feature requests, campaign builds, landing pages, bugs etc).
Categorise and assign incoming requests to the appropriate teams (e.g. Web Content Ops, engineers, designers) based on set criteria e.g. complexity and impact.
Oversee BAU and campaign delivery, ensuring the offshore Web Content Ops team follows clear processes, documentation, and quality standards.
Continuously refine web operations workflows (triage, prioritisation, QA, and deployment) to improve efficiency and reduce turnaround times.
Work closely with the Engineering squad to monitor website uptime, performance, and reliability; proactively flag and coordinate fixes for issues impacting the web experience.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership

Collaborate with the Growth Product Manager to deliver initiatives that drive organic traffic, engagement, and conversions that translate to ARR.
Partner with SEO and Conversion Managers to ensure their initiatives are properly scoped, prioritised, and executed as part of the website roadmap.
Work with designers to ensure all experiences are high-quality, accessible, and aligned with UX best practices.
Liaise with internal stakeholders (Marketing, Sales, Customer, Product, and Engineering) to ensure dependencies and expectations are managed and communication remains transparent.
Report on progress, risks, and delivery outcomes to the Growth Product Manager and relevant leadership teams.
Continuous Improvement & Quality

Identify delivery bottlenecks and help refine workflows and sprint processes for greater velocity and collaboration, leveraging automation or AI tools where possible.
Maintain strong documentation of web delivery practices, standards, and QA procedures.
Champion a culture of testing, iteration, evidence-based decision-making and fast-shipping across the website team.
Use data analytics and performance insights to inform new iterations, optimisations, and future priorities.
Support continuous alignment between teams across time zones (ANZ, UK, and Canada) to ensure global delivery consistency.
Who you are
To thrive at Employment Hero, you’ll need to embody The EH Way - operating with focus, agility, and an obsession with impact. For this role, you’ll also bring:

3–5 years’ experience in product ownership, management, or web delivery within an agile software or website product environment.
Strong understanding of agile delivery, sprint planning, backlog management, and stakeholder prioritisation.
Proven success managing delivery pipelines for large websites, CMS operations, or product feature builds that drive growth, acquisition and/or retention.
Skilled at writing clear user stories, specifications, and acceptance criteria that communicate expected product outcomes.
Curious and growth-oriented, with exposure to growth levers including SEO/GEO, CRO, or UX/website optimisation to acquire and retain customers while driving measurable revenue impact.
Analytical and data-driven, able to draw insights from qualitative and quantitative data to inform product decisions and prioritisation.
Experienced in QA processes and ensuring website quality through robust testing and acceptance workflows.
Technical aptitude with familiarity in CMS platforms (e.g. Wordpress/PHP, Contentful, Webflow), Jira/Asana, and web QA tools.
Highly organised with excellent prioritisation and attention to detail, balancing short-term delivery with long-term outcomes.
Collaborative communicator with experience working cross-functionally across Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Data teams.
Hands-on and proactive: you’re comfortable rolling up your sleeves to unblock teams and keep projects moving.
Commercially minded and customer-focused, able to connect business drivers with user impact.
Bonus experience

Experience working in SaaS, marketplaces, or HR/recruitment technology environments.
