Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gurmukhi/Gurmat Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will cultivate a positive and nurturing learning environment, deliver engaging and meaningful instruction, and support students in their spiritual development. This role plays a key part in helping our learners stay connected to their roots while fostering mindfulness and a deep appreciation for Sikh values.
Duties
Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with Gurmukhi and Gurmat curriculum standards.
Deliver engaging instruction that caters to diverse learning styles and abilities.
Assess student progress in Gurmukhi through assignments, tests, and observations, providing timely feedback.
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning.
Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student development and address individual needs.
Incorporate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance learning experiences.
Manage classroom behavior effectively to promote discipline and respect among students.
Participate in school meetings, professional development sessions, and extracurricular activities as required.
Experience
Prior teaching experience or student teaching internship in an educational setting is preferred.
Strong knowledge of Gurmukhi and Gurmat is required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students, parents, and colleagues.
Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners.
Certification or licensure in education is highly desirable but not mandatory for internship positions. This role is vital in shaping the future of students by providing quality education in a nurturing environment. Qualification: Bachelors of Education is mandatory
Pay: $15.00-$16.00 per hour
