Position Overview:
Lakme Academy is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Hair Stylist Faculty to join our team. As a Hair Stylist Faculty, you will play a pivotal role in training and mentoring aspiring hair stylists to excel in their craft. You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive theoretical and practical training in various hair styling techniques, ensuring that students develop the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in the beauty industry.
• Responsibilities:
- Classroom Instruction: Conduct engaging and informative classroom sessions, delivering theoretical lessons on hair styling principles, tools, products, and safety practices.
- Hands-on Training: Provide practical hands-on training to students, demonstrating various hair styling techniques, including cutting, coloring, perming, styling, and treatments.
- Demonstrations: Perform live demonstrations to showcase advanced and trending hair styling techniques, inspiring and motivating students to learn and experiment with new styles.
- Individual and Group Coaching: Provide personalized guidance and feedback to students, assessing their progress and skill development, and assisting them in overcoming challenges.
- Workshops and Guest Lectures: Organize and facilitate workshops and guest lectures by industry professionals to expose students to diverse perspectives, trends, and career opportunities in the hair styling field.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay updated with the latest trends, products, and techniques in the hair styling industry through continuous learning and research.
- Assessments and Evaluations: Develop and administer assessments to evaluate students' understanding and proficiency in hair styling techniques, and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
- Student Support: Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment, addressing individual student needs, concerns, and challenges, and providing guidance for career development.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to Lakme Academy's standards of excellence in education, maintaining high-quality teaching standards, and continuously enhancing the learning experience for students.
• Requirements:
- Extensive Experience: Minimum of 1 years of professional experience as a hair stylist, with a demonstrated expertise in a wide range of hair styling techniques, including thermals, Bridal hair Styling.
- Education and Certification: A relevant degree or diploma in hair styling or cosmetology is required. Additional certifications or advanced training in specialized techniques are highly desirable.
- Teaching Skills: Proven ability to effectively communicate complex concepts and demonstrate hair styling techniques in a clear and engaging manner. Prior teaching experience or experience as a mentor is an advantage.
- Industry Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of current trends, products, tools, and techniques in the hair styling industry, along with a passion for continuous learning and professional development.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to connect with students, understand their needs, and provide constructive feedback and guidance.
- Organization and Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain an organized classroom environment.
- Creativity and Innovation: Demonstrated creativity and ability to think outside the box, encouraging students to experiment with new styles and techniques while adhering to professional standards.
