The ideal candidate will have experience in cutting, colouring, styling, and treating hair for a diverse clientele. You must be able to deliver exceptional customer service and stay updated with current trends and techniques.

Position: Saloon Assistant
Hourly rate: $33 - $35 per hour
Guaranteed hours: 30 per week.
Maximum hours: 55 per week.
Location: Auckland
Responsibilities
Consult with clients to understand their hair care needs and preferences.
Cut, trim, and style hair using scissors, clippers, razors, and blow dryers.
Colour, bleach, and highlight hair using professional products and techniques.
Provide hair treatments including deep conditioning, keratin, and scalp therapies.
Recommend hair care products and educate clients on hair maintenance.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations and salon tools.
Stay up to date with current hair trends, styles, and techniques.
Schedule and manage client appointments using salon booking systems.
Ensure high standards of customer service and client satisfaction.
Adhere to health and safety regulations in the salon environment.
Requirements
Level 4 qualification in Hairdressing OR 2 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of a wide range of hairdressing techniques and styles.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and a keen eye for style.
