Use salon software such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client records, and retail sales tracking
Consult with clients on hair care routines, color theory applications, and current trends to ensure satisfaction
Maintain strict sanitation standards by cleaning tools, stations, and work areas regularly
Manage front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, booking appointments, and processing payments
Mentor junior staff or apprentices to develop their skills in hair styling, barbering, and customer service
Skills
Expertise in hair styling techniques including cutting, coloring, blowouts, and special occasion styles
Proficiency with salon software like MINDBODY for efficient scheduling and client management
Knowledge of color theory to create customized color solutions for diverse hair types
Skilled in applying hair extensions and eyelash extensions for versatile looks
Ability to operate tools such as straight razors and perform nail care or makeup application when needed
Strong communication skills to understand client needs and provide professional advice
Experience in retail sales and upselling products like shampoos, conditioners, styling tools, and retail merchandise
Familiarity with sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
Store management experience or leadership qualities to assist with team mentoring or front desk duties
