Halal Slaughterman
Progressive Meats is a dynamic meat processing export business based on a single site in Hastings, including our own cool store. The majority of meat processing is beef and lamb, however we also routinely process rams, mutton, venison and goats. High quality meat for human consumption is the significant proportion of our end product, but we also provide animal by-products for medical, bio-tech and other industries.
We are seeking a qualified and reliable HALAL SLAUGHTERMAN to be a key part of our operations.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role you will ideally have:
Previous experience in a food production environment, ideally with lamb or beef.
Certified in Halal Slaughter and be a practicing Muslim
Be prepared to work as part of a high-performing team
Be flexible to work in other areas of the business as required
A commitment to health and safety, including ensuring safe work practices and the correct use of PPE.
Be suitably fit to lift weights of up to 20kg, and move safely around the plant which includes stairs, moving machinery and wet floors.
You must have the legal right to work in New Zealand
