About The Role
At Rombola Family Farms, we offer exciting career opportunities in a supportive and innovative work environment. Harvest Picker activities include, but are not limited to:
Picking fruit and vegetables according to size and ripeness by hand
Discarding rotting and over-ripened produce following our quality standards
Operating small tractors, when required
Loading picked fresh produce into containers
Digging and planting/transplanting seedlings by hand
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
Current Driver's License
Evidence of work rights
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a can-do attitude
Team player who can work effectively with people from different backgrounds
Awareness and ability to adhere to rules and procedures
Flexibility in hours worked to achieve operational targets, including weekends and public holidays
Good level of physical fitness, including ability to kneel, grasp, bend/twist, lift light to moderate loads (up to 10-15kg) and be able to work in temperature extremes and dust
Number of positions available: 40
Commencement: May 2026. This role will be permanent and ongoing.
Renumeration: $2+.33/hr (Horticulture Award 2020, Level 1)

We are involved in a range of agricultural enterprises including melons, pumpkins, broccoli, citrus, wine grapes and almonds, with operations spanning growing, packing, and marketing of produce.
