About Island Gold District: Alamos Gold’s Island Gold District will become one of the largest and lowest-cost gold mines in Canada. With the two mines within the district, Island Gold and Magino employ over +00 team members who work in the underground and open pit operations and are located in northern Ontario, just east of the town of Dubreuilville, 83 kilometres northeast of Wawa. Through ongoing exploration success, Island Gold District’s Mineral Reserves and Resources have continued to grow in size and quality. Responsibilities:
Safely transport material as directed (ore and waste)
Ensure material is delivered to proper destinations ( Ore and Waste )
Maintain a clean truck box (clean it daily)
Safely back haul roadbed for ramp maintenance
Report equipment location to supervisor accurately
Report loads of material moved accurately
Follow all safety policies, procedures and legislation
Communicate with dispatcher and other haul truck operators through radio communication while travelling the ramp
Qualifications:
Grade 12 education preferred
Must have basic common core modules for underground
Minimum of 1 year of U/G experience preferred but not mandatory
Able to prioritize and organize deliveries and pick-ups to maximize efficiency
