HAULAGE TRUCK DRIVER
Role Overview
We are looking for a reliable haulage truck driver to transport vehicles safely and on time across assigned routes. This role requires strong driving skills, attention to safety, and a high level of responsibility for these cars/units
Key Responsibilities
Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport goods over short and long distances
Load, secure, and unload cargo properly to prevent damage
Plan and follow efficient routes while meeting delivery schedules
Inspect vehicles before and after trips (brakes, tires, lights, fluids)
Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and fuel usage
Comply with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
Communicate with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status
Handle unexpected issues such as delays, breakdowns, or route changes
Ensure cargo documentation is complete and accurate
Keep the vehicle clean and in good working condition
Requirements
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role
Clean driving record with no major violations
Good knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws
Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
Physically fit to handle loading and unloading when required
Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus
Strong time management and reliability
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with long-haul or cross-state driving
Familiarity with GPS systems and route planning tools
Experience handling different types of cargo (fragile, bulk, hazardous)
High school diploma or equivalent
Working Conditions
Long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Extended periods of sitting and driving
Exposure to varying weather and road conditions
