Job Description
The State of Georgia (DOAS) is seeking an experienced HCM Training Specialist to support training initiatives for Human Capital Management (HCM) systems and business processes. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering end-user training to ensure successful adoption of systems and processes across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver training programs for HCM systems and related business processes
• Create training materials, including user guides, job aids, SOPs, and presentations
• Conduct instructor-led training sessions (virtual and in-person)
• Support system implementation and upgrades through training and user support
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand training needs
• Maintain and update training documentation based on system changes
• Provide post-training support and address user questions/issues
• Assist with change management and user adoption strategies
• Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to track and manage training
Required Qualifications:
• Experience working with HCM systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, Workday, or similar)
• Proven experience in training delivery and content development
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to translate technical concepts into user-friendly training materials
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in government or public sector environments
• Familiarity with HR processes (payroll, benefits, onboarding, etc.)
• Experience with LMS platforms
• Background in instructional design or adult learning principles
• Certifications such as:
• CTT+ (Certified Technical Trainer)
• CPTD / ATD certifications
• Prosci Change Management
