Technology Manager Job description Roles and Responsibilities Problem Management Work on problem tickets that are logged by the incident team, find resolution to problems and get the same resolved Application Performance Management Review the performance of the system on a periodic basis, identify potential system performance bottlenecks, get system architecture reviewed and changed wherever required to resolve the performance bottlenecks. Application Obsolescence Management Review the application technology stack for obsolescence, initiate projects for the upgrade of the application software stack when applicable, plan and execute the same. – Prepare & validate Total Cost of Ownerships (TCOs) & High-Level Estimates (HLEs), so the same can be provided to other project stakeholders. – Ensure proper volume estimations are carried out for new solutions, basis which stress tests are planned and executed. – Ensure System Integration Testing (SIT) & Implementation is planned effectively, to ensure zero unplanned downtime during production movement and the cooling period. – Ensure no Deployment/Integrity related technical failures, post releasing to users for production use. – Participate in the process of project planning to ensure that adequate timeframe is committed for IT activities and to ensure that all aspects of Change Management are covered best practices Ensure ITPP is followed. – Ensure thorough documentation and evidence are maintained, with a target of achieving zero Audit Failures. Vendor Performance Management – Periodically review and document the performance of the vendor, initiate Service Improvement plans wherever applicable, monitor the progress, and do necessary escalations wherever required. – Interaction/management of vendor teams/managers for timely delivery of the projects. – Managing Vendor Contracts, Relationships and Payment Processes – Software Licenses and IT Inventory Management – Monitoring and maintaining the service levels (delivery period, quality) with vendor teams Review of OS/DB Baseline and Privileged User ID on OS/DB Review the Operating System and Database Baseline documents across all the servers pertaining to the environment and work on remediating the identified deviations or obtain risk sign offs after providing justification. Review User Ids configuration on the OS and DB on a periodic basis as per the process and justify the creation of new IDs and modification of privileges of existing IDs Contract Review Follow Contract Risk Framework process, review the Contract and Supplier Risk as per the process and present to Function Head for approvals / sign offs Change and Release Management Follow the Change and Release Management processes defined for the projects and tasks initiated as part of Problem Management, Performance Management and Application Obsolescence Management. Budgeting Identify the annual recurring payments to be made for maintenance and provide the same for budgeting exercise. Candidate should be able to collaborate with Work with different teams in the Bank.
