We have a number of HDPE Geomembrane Welding Technician positions available for experienced and ticketed welders, this is a fantastic opportunity to work on some of the largest lining projects in Australia.
What you'll be doing:
Installation of geomembrane liners;
Perform geomembrane welding unsupervised, using products such as HDPE, LLDPE and PP;
Ensure wedge welding equipment is maintained and serviced;
Perform quality geomembrane welds that meet quality standards and expectations;
Test integrity of all plastic welds and ensure all welds meet the minimum requirements;
Ensure correct methodology is used to fabricate geomembrane materials in the most practical and time efficient way;
Deployment of materials; and
General labouring duties.
Due to the location and type of work you must be prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions and be physically fit.
What we're looking for:
• You must be able to demonstrate a solid work history and experience working as a Geomembrane Technician;
IAGI or TWI certification highly desirable;
Current White Card or equivalent is required;
Current unrestricted drivers licence is required;
Ability to understand and follow instructions;
Be a recognised team player and have the ability to work in a team based environment;
Commitment and a good attitude towards safety and culture;
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as manual labour;
Strong communication skills;
Ability to work under pressure;
Willingness to grow and develop within a dynamic, changing environment; and
Understand and work to Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (OHS&E) requirements.
You will be required to travel and work on various sites around Australia on a roster basis and stay in camp style accommodation therefore flexibility, a good attitude and reliable transport is a must!
