Rooney Earthmoving Ltd is one of New Zealand’s leading privately owned civil contractors specialising in earthworks and irrigation projects. The organisation employs over 220 staff and operates a significant fleet of heavy machinery in the central South Island.
Rooney Earthmoving Ltd has a programme of lining ponds in the South Canterbury region and is searching for a skilled welder to join its existing lining team. Ideally the applicants for these roles will have:
8-10 years HDPE liner placement experience.
A proven history of supervising and training staff.
Be experienced with the construction of water storage pond projects.
Have a good knowledge of the quality control standards used for liner installation.
Be qualified at the different welding techniques used to join HDPE.
The position will be based at the work site and report back through the Timaru office. This is a permanent position reporting to a Project Manager.
