Head Barista Position - Alexander's Bakery Southside
Location: Wollongong & Corrimal
Alexander's Bakery Southside is seeking an experienced and confident Head Barista to join our team. We’re looking for someone who holds high standards and consistently delivers them, all while creating a welcoming experience for our customers.

Alexander’s Bakery Southside is a vibrant bakery café with two locations—Wollongong and Corrimal. Known for our award-winning coffee and exceptional customer service, we pride ourselves on being a staple in the Illawarra community.
About the Role
We have two Head Barista positions available, one for each location. In this role, you will independently lead coffee service while ensuring every cup meets our high-quality standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, build customer relationships, and grow your career with us.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a barista who is:
Experienced: Minimum 1 year of barista experience (preferably more).
Skilled & Confident: Proficient on the coffee machine with a proven ability to produce consistent, high-quality coffee.
Customer-Focused: Friendly, engaging, and able to provide outstanding service while making product recommendations.
Proactive: Quick on their feet, takes initiative, and works independently while maintaining a team player mentality.
Detail-Oriented: Maintains a clean, organized workspace and upholds high standards of hygiene and service.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing and serving exceptional coffee.
Leading customer service, ensuring a welcoming environment for all.
Assisting with café opening and closing duties.
Sales and product recommendations.
General cleaning and maintaining café hygiene.
