About the opportunity
Our client has found the balance between creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere throughout their day trade, to maximising revenue streams for evening trade including events and private venue hire.
Working closely with the Head of Operations, the Head Chef will need to understand that quality dishes can be delivered in various ways - some menus for the venue are uncomplicated yet delivered to excellent standards, and others have a creative license to push boundaries.
Managing a large team of Chefs, Apprentices, and Kitchen Hands, you will need to have the ability to change management styles accordingly to get the best out of people.
The role requires a leader who can recognise and work with what has made the venue successful over the years, yet possess an energy that can reinvigorate a team full of potential
The ideal candidate
A minimum of 2 years experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef
Previous hatted or michelin star expeirnece required
Strong kitchen management skills across stock control, COG's, wage costs, food safety and OHS
A leader who is able to wear many hats during service, handle volume, and inspire some of Melbourne's most talented Chefs
Ability to collaborate with Head of Operations and Executive Chef around menu design, event packages, and operational excellence
